Small Gatherings
In addition to the silent auction, we are thrilled to offer Small Gatherings. Small Gatherings are the most popular feature of our Great Gathering, not only because raise the bulk of the event's proceeds, but also because of the community they help build among Highlands families throughout the year. This year we have a variety of activities for adults, children and/or families, so you are sure to find something great!
What is a Small Gathering?
Highlands families donate an event or activity and "tickets" are sold to raise money as part of the Great Gathering. Activities may be for specified groups (for example, students from a particular grade or moms or dads only) or open to the entire community. Small Gatherings can be as simple as an afternoon of sledding with hot cocoa, a happy hour event to meet other parents, or a backyard movie gathering. More involved events have included murder mystery parties, dinners to highlight food from a family's culture, and large-scale activities like tubing at Buck Hill. If you are interested in hosting and don't know where to start (or would like to find one or more co-hosts), please reach out to Aditi at aditi.steinbruchel@gmail.com.
